Eduard 1/48 Tempest Mk. V Series 1

This kit is a completely new tooling from Eduard, a complete replacement for their old Tempest kit. It’s extremely detailed, with a very nice cockpit, excellent surface detail, and a look that captures the Tempest quite well.

However, I found it to be very “fiddly” to build, with several puzzling and rather frustrating engineering choices. While none are difficult to over come, I was generally disappointed with the build process.

Still, once built, it looks like a Tempest.

  • Wonderful work sir, as always! What a shame about this kit being a challenge. I feel Eduard’s P-39 is the same, but I still love this brand. I really want to try their new Fw-190A-8.
