Agape forum member Aaron Long (Ronnie Rex) shared his photos of this awesome Messerschmitt build. Aaron used Model Master, Gunze, Vallejo amd Tamiya paints, as well as a True Details cockpit and wheels. Awesome work Aaron!

  1. Great build. Really nice. Subtle weathering is VERY impressive. Share your secrets for obtaining that wonderful faded effect.

  2. Bob, I used a pre-shade of Tamiya NATO brown on the top. Then I laid down the RLM 79. I sprayed some lightened RLM 79 (lightened with MM camo gray) in the middle of the panels to get the fade. On the lowers, I just sprayed RLM 78 straight. Then went back and added lightened RLM 78 (lightened with white) in the center of panels. The oils and stains are just oil paints in the tube brushed, wiped, or dabbed on the airframe. Hope that helps.

    I’ll just keep my stash of ‘flawed’ Hasegawa kits, thank you.

    Do wish I could make mine look this good, tho!!
