Agape forum member Aaron Long (RonnieRex) posted his finished work on this great looking hasegawa Spitfire in Portuguese markings. Great work Aaron!
Tamiya paints used throughout except the yellow was Model Master enamel insignia yellow and the Medium Sea Gray was Gunze acrylic. EZline was used for the ariel.
I would rather build the Tamiya Mk. Vb, but this kit was just fine. It allowed me to practice my CA gap filling methods. 🙂
Cool looking Spit!!
Care to share ur CA gap filling method???
Bo
Bo, I just used CA to fill gaps, seams, and blemishes and then sanded it smooth. I use talcum powder ‘cure’ the CA faster. Just sprinkle some on top. Some CA accelerator would work even better. I find that If I wait a few days, the CA doesn’t sand as easily as if I sand the same day it was applied and dried. It sands similarly to plastic.
hope that helps
Thanks.
