Forum member Dale Hutchinson (Hutch) shared his pics of the great looking F-84 he built. Great stuff Hutch!
Stick a fork in it, this one is done. I picked this kit up at a show for about $12 and got a lot of enjoyment out of it. It is a very solid kit. I haven’t put the Tamiya kit together yet, but I scare say it will be hard to beat the Pro Modeler example.
The NMF is Alclad. I used Eagle Strike decals to finish her off…The markings are for a USAFE F-84G from the 493rd Fighter Bomber Squadron, 48th Fighter Bomber Group, circa 1952 in France. No particular reason as to why I chose this scheme other than the fact it just grabbed my attention. Oh, I also chose these markings because there is something about the large numbers that are appealing to me. The Yellow on the fuel tanks and tail were unique, so I gave it a go. The belts were homemade…I usually do not them because of my fumble fingers, but these seem to have come out okay.
