    Awesome build Steve! The P-47 Thunderbolt is my favorite WW II plane and I love to see them modeled in the myriad of different paint schemes. These brutes terrified German soldiers; regardless of rank they would dive in any hole, ditch or trench they could find when the Thunderbolts were on the hunt in their area. To be honest I prefer to model Jugs from the Pacific Theater for the somewhat embarrassing reason that I am just to intimidated to try the invasion stripes; which you did a wonderful job on. How did you get the checker board on the cowling so seamless, it looks great?
