Readers’ Gallery: John Faull’s 1/48 Accurate Miniatures F3F-1

Agape forum member John Faull had posted a few photos of his great looking Grumman F3F-1 in the Agape forum, so I asked him to take a few more photos and send them to me. Thanks so much John- it looks great! And I’m looking forward to more Yellow Wing aircraft!

Here are some other pics for you of the AM 1/48 F3F-1. It depicts an aircraft assigned to VF-4 in the 1930s. Willow Green tail, True Blue Markings of the flight section leader. The fuselage is Testors spray Aluminum, wings are MM FS17178 Chrome Silver with Chrome Yellow upper surfaces.  The model was a joy to build and went together without a lot of effort or filler. As a matter of fact, I don’t believe that I used any filler. I also have an F3F-2 by AM that I am looking forward to building, along with many other “Yellow Wing” aircraft of the 30’s.
