Agape forum member Eric Larson (eclarson) posted these photos of a model he built a while back, but had not photographed. Thanks for sharing Eric- great work!
Earlier this evening, I was browsing through another forum and saw a post of someone in the process of building this kit. It suddenly dawned on me that I could not remember ever taking photos of mine! So, I rectified that tonight.
I built this about 10 years ago. It’s actually the first model I started after moving here to Ohio from Tennessee back in 1999. I started it while living in an apartment – our home for the first year – and completed it after moving into our house.
To the base kit I added a Verlinden cockpit set, which required quite a bit of grinding and fitting. The decals are from the kit. Those spinner spirals were fun to apply! I also added a few little details such as brake lines, seat belts, and antenna wire.
I think the paints are Aeromaster enamels.
Please excuse the dust. I quickly brushed off the model before taking the photos but the camera flash reveals that a more thorough cleaning is needed. The curse of open display shelves!
By the way, this is a really nice kit, right out of the box. If you’d like to add an unusual little twin to your collection, I highly recommend it. I don’t know if it’s currently in production but Hasegawa has released numerous versions over the years and it should not be hard to track one down.
