Readers’ Gallery: Steve Arnold’s Eduard 1/48 Nieuport 17

Steve Arnold (forum member zipmeister) shared his results on Eduard’s Profipack Nieuport 17 kit. You did an awesome job Steve!

Well I finished the Nieuport. I took  Bob’s (forum member Bob Booth, aka bobs_buckles) advice on the clear coat. I shot semigloss from the front and flat on the rest. The effect is exactly what I was looking for. Some of it shows in the pics. I used a wash starting on the front and feather in back for an exhaust and oil effect. I still have to figure out what I’m going to use to rig it and plan it out. But the biplane itself is done! Here are some pics to prove it.

  1. A good friend of mine keeps on telling me that ” Real airplanes have two wings “. Looking at this one I can understand why he has that philosophy. Super nice job !! Bob H.
