Forum member Eric Larson (eclarson) posted this build of a kit that you don’t see very often, and he did a fabulous job on it!

Another of my projects from this year, this is the very unusual Eduard Ki-115 “Tsurugi” suicide plane. This model represents a couple of firsts for me. It is my first use of the Alclad metallizer paints. They are fantastic! It is also my first effort to simulate wood grain with paint. Most of the interior of the Ki-115 was bare plywood so that was the effect I was aiming for. The grain effect was obtained by streaking thinned oil paints over a tan enamel base.
