Readers’ Gallery: Mark Lay’s Spitfire Mk. XIVe

AgapeModels.com forum member Mark Lay (Airborne on the forums) posted this great looking Academy Spitfire Mk. XIVe in a recent Fellowship Build (similar to a Group Build) titled “The Summer of Spitfires”.

OK, here it is, Academy’s 1/48 Spitfire FR Mk XIVe.  Always wondered what a NM Spit would look like, turned out ok.  This one is marked in Belgian colors provided in the kit.  The Cartograph decals were very good, at first I didn’t think they were going to lay down very well, they looked thick, but snuggled right down with a little Testors Decal Set.

This will be the last plane for a while.  I want to work on some cars in my stash.  Namely a 1962 Ferrari 250 GTO, …only the most BEAUTIFUL Automobile in WORLD.
