New from Anigrand Craftswork: 1/72 Martin Titan II ICBM

agr-titanii.jpgAnigrand Craftswork has released another unusual kit- the Titan II ICBM in 72nd scale. These giants were on the “front-line” of the nuclear arsenal for 25 years, thankfully never having been used. They sat silently ready to take the Cold War to something that we all hope is simply a memory of the near past.

In any event, it makes for an interesting and historical kit. Anigrand’s Arnold Chiu says this in his announcement:

The Titan II, was a large two-stage, liquid-fueled, rocket-powered ICBM that incorporated significant performance improvements over the earlier model Titan I weapon system. It carried a larger warhead an all-inertial guidance. Titan II was the first strategic missile that used storable hyperbolic propellants and an inertial guidance system. This weapon system was deployed in 1962 with deactivation completed in 1987. The Titan II also served as a launch vehicle for the Gemini manned spacecraft missions and military and civilian satellites.

Anigrand Craftswork’s Martin Titan II is the most detailed kitted 1/72 scale model in the market. It comes with many high detailed precisely resin parts such as detailed Aerojet LR87-AJ-5 two-chamber liquid propellant rocket engine.

The unit price of this large-sized missile is only US$68 plus US$8.50 shipping charge.

If you’re looking for something to break out of the modeling doldrums, this Titan from Anigrand Craftswork may just be the ticket. Of course, though it doesn’t take up much space on the shelf- you might need taller shelves- it’s over a foot tall!
