You’ll want to take a look at a new company, Pössum Werks, a producer of high quality hobby graphics. Their first set of decals is a very interesting set for Johannes “Macky” Steinhoff, a German Bf-109 pilot. From their website:
This is the first release from Pössum Werks. This sheet contains decals sufficient to build four complete Bf-109 fighters as they were flown by Oberst Johannes “Macky” Steinhoff at various points in his career. This sheet has been printed in six colors by Cartograf and contains a few extra maintenance stenciling decals (Just in case). The instruction sheet is printed in full color with complete information on the correct position of each decal. To our knowledge, this is the first time Macky Steinhoff has ever been the subject of a single sheet of decals in any scale.
The set is reasonably priced at US$12.00 (+US$1.50 S&H) . It is designed for 1/48 scale aircraft.
Pössum Werks is a new company, and they’ll have some great sets of decals coming out in 2008. The next set planned is “B-24D Liberators of ‘Operation Tidal Wave'” , with markings for four complete aircraft in 1/72 Scale. Operation Tidal Wave was the raid against the oil facilities at Ploieşti, Romania in 1943.
The site also lists future sets for a wide variety of WWII aircraft, as well as F-4 Phantom II sets in both 1/72 and 1/48.
