Anigrand releases a 1/144 Tupolev Tu-126

Anigrand Craftswork’s Tu-126Anigrand Craftswork continues their line of unique resin kits with their release of the Tupolev Tu-126. Even at 1/144th scale, this kit will build out pretty large. And all that resin has to be heavy!

Here’s what Anigrand’s Arnold Chiu said in his email announcing the release:
Anigrand Craftswork’s Tu-126 Moss is the first kitted 1/144 scale model in the market. It comes with more than 200 high detailed precisely resin parts, and decal, as well as the clear resin casting canopies.

The unit price of this large-sized plane is only US$88 plus US$14 shipping charge. To get one to group with your models collection of the War time airplanes and/or to fill the gap to your Soviet plane collection, The Moss is what you must have. To find more detail about the Tu-126 and our model kit, please visit our web-page at http://www.anigrand.com/AA4006_Tu-126.htm.

As Anigrand has done with several of their recent kits, they include some other kits with the Tu-126. The website lists them as only as “three 1/144 Soviet electronic aircraft”, the photo of the resin parts clearly shows the three kits, and the web page itself shows their silhouette. Two are aircraft, and one is a helicopter. I’m not sure what they are- maybe if you are a Soviet aircraft expert you’ll recognize them.

While the price of the kit may seem a bit steep, Anigrand does produce nice kits of good quality, and they’re often the only game in town for certain kits. Add to that the fact that you get three additional kits in the price, and it’s not a bad deal.
