Hyperscale features a very nice build report on Doug Duthie’s wonderful job of bringing Revell’s Spitfire Mk. “11” (as was misprinted on the kit box) up to a higher standard. Doug provides very informative text and photos that are especially helpful. Proof positive of the saying “are we modelers or merely assemblers of kits?”
I built the Revell Mk. II myself, and though it does have some challenges to it and some issues, it is still a very rewarding kit to have sitting finished on a shelf.
Especially so if you put as much work into it as Doug did to get such great results.
